In Idyll, there is a place that appears different to all who encounter it. It is best described as a river, but whether it is a clear-glass stream or a lake of blood-thick ink, whether the building in the centre is a new cottage or a skyscraper ruin--or whether this structure exists at all--depends on the individual. This is The River Windrose, named for the petals that drift with the wind to the spaces of the unconscious.

Drawing Challenge 1: Yourself

Hi! :)

So I decided to improve my drawing skills on the tablet a bit this December 2011 and happened to find a "30 Day Drawing Challenge". I'm not sure where it originated, but this is my best clue thus far: Show and Tell.

The theme for the first day is "Yourself" so I attempted...myself. Not completely wonderful, and it completely lacks shading, but I'll be overly generous with myself and say that it's ok for my first bit of drawing in a long time. Hopefully I get better over the month. That's the point of this anyways.

~1 hr 30 min.

That's not the only reason I'm posting today though (good thing too, because my art isn't exactly anything to be excited about XP). I've been working on a story with a working title of "ECA" for a while now, that's based on a writing meme I found on deviantART. I'm about 68% done, so I figure I might as well start posting some entries--this weekend or next week? It's coming up though! :D

This week on Drawn in Words is a "Collab Fanfiction" which is really another way of saying I'm writing fanfiction for an incomplete work I'm writing -.-

Thanks for reading! Please comment! I'd love to hear any critiques/ suggestions/ rambles. :)
